History

Ballet Folklórico Mexicano de Nueva York (BFMNY) is celebrating its 30th
season . BFMNY was founded in 1983 by the brothers David and Raul Butron.
Their first presentation was in at Damrosch Park for the Lincoln Center Out of
Doors Festival.  Since then BFMNY has continued its work in many world
renowned cultural centers in and around New York City.

Some of these theater include:
Carnegie Hall
Town Hall
Beacon Theater
Museum of Natural History
Cooper Hewitt Museum
Museum of the City of New York
Simphony Space
Feria Munidal Hispana
100th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty
Intrepid Museum

In addition, BFMNY has performed in many other public and private events in
states and regions near the tristate, including performances in educational
and religious organizations.

July 21, 2012 Fox Music Awards, Best Folkloric Group 2012.
May 31, 2012 MexiEventos, Grupo Folklórico Cultural del Año 2012.
